The garden on the bank of the Daugava follows the expressive organic rhythm of the building volumes emerging from the topography of the bank, continuing into the terracing forms of the slope. The garden, like the architecture, does not open up to the view immediately; it greets gradually and is varied, divided by the distribution of the functions defined by the skyline. The south-facing backyard rose garden, children's play areas, greenhouse, cellar, orchard - all incorporated into a unified architectural aesthetic.
