In the renovation project of the Conventa yard, the renovated outdoor space retains its historical layout, but the paving, greenery and landscaping have been completely changed. The clay clinker pavement laid in 1996 has been replaced by granite more typical of Riga, and the low metal fencing installed at the time has disappeared from the beds. A typology and structure of planting has been developed, with evergreen, seasonally unchanging, classically elegant, representative forms of clipped yew trees as the basic element, with a multi-stemmed tree floor above, with decorative flowers in spring and bright autumn foliage. The seasonally changing greenery includes a mix of herbs, aromatic plants and medicinal perennials, planted in metal containers of medieval monastery design, created especially for the Convent. This contrasting system of bedding and container planting gives the Conventa Farm its seasonal variety and the impression of a lushly verdant garden.
