Melluzi Concert Garden

In the concert garden renovation project, the orthogonal layout of the compositional axis of the only preserved shell-type open-air stage and the Milk Pavilion in Latvia grows and flows from one materiality into another, spatially disintegrating into the park lawn in a respectfully nostalgic homage to the 20th century. The garden is a nostalgic and nostalgic homage to the cultural heritage of the early 19th century and the surrounding 19th century. The park was created at the end of the 19th century. The concrete slabs are transformed into greenery - hard lines of clipped shrubs and squares of white perennials. The concert garden is a collection of things that live with the changing mood of Jurmala - from sunny summer joy and the play of light through tree canopies to the colours and textures of autumn rain. A large part of the Melluži Concert Garden project is its outdoor space, designed by architects Māra Ābele and Mārtiņš Jaunromāns in close collaboration with landscape architect Linda Zaļo. The single conceptual work flows subtly from the architects' detailed structure of the paving to the landscape architect's nostalgic flowering framework.
